Fires in Southern Italy, and lava flow from Mount Etna in eruption in Sicily

This true-color MODIS image shows several fires (red dots) burning in southern Italy, as well as a couple fires in the northwest of Sicily (below, left). On Sicily's northeastern shore, the red dot likely indicates the eruption of the Mt. Etna volcano, the slopes of which bear dark-colored rock formed by lava flows.
