SeaWiFS captured this view of a large smoke plume that is blowing southward across the Great Lakes -- hiding much of Lake Superior from view. The smoke is coming from fires raging in northern Alberta. In the image you can see the path of the smoke from the northwest corner of the image and then arcing southward over Hudson Bay where its brownish color is most evident against the icy white background.
