SeaWiFS: Eddies over the Argentine Basin

On December 27, 2000, the Sea-viewing Wide Field-of-View Sensor (SeaWiFS) passed directly overhead of the eddy field of the shelf break off the coast of Argentina. The current patterns are made visible by the phytoplankton that color the water.
