South American Smoke

Quite a number of smoke plumes are feeding the smokey haze that stretches across the middle of this SeaWiFS image. Also of not: a huge area in Paraguay that looks like human-caused deforestation; a sharp difference in vegetation across the Argentina/Brazil border; a large amount of suspended sediment in the Rio de la Plata; the big grey splotch at the edge of the Rio de la Plata is Buenos Aires.
